Autism Friendly & Accessible Viewing
Accessible Viewing to Main Street
After the hugely successful introduction of the Autism Friendly area at our Christmas in Killarney Magic Parades last year, we would like to take the opportunity to begin introducing further supports in order to make our festival more Autism Friendly. Be patient with us, we are all learning, but together we can raise awareness of Autism in Ireland, we can help everyone to have the #samechance to enjoy our festival and we can ensure, that year on year, we will improve. After all, we all deserve to have the #samechance.
There are a number of champion businesses in Killarney where sensory boxes are available. Please ask and they will be happy to help to the best of their capability. A full list of champion businesses is available on killarney.ie
You can access visual guides through the Autism Friendly Killarney Instagram page.

Bringing the magic to those who can’t come to town…
In 2023 the Christmas in Killarney elves diverted the parade to pass through St. Columbanus Nursing Home, bringing the magic to those who were unable to make it to town.
